Concerns about art archiving have recently increased.
The curators Maru Carranza and Susana Panea are commissioning a scoping study for a registry of archived artists and their work.
The study involves desk research, interviews and artworks.
The study finds that there is a perceived need for more accessible information about art. A solution is expected which goes beyond simply cataloging and exposing.
In addition, the audience must understand its access to art through catalogs if a normal route is sometimes unavailable.
