Tales of the Past #21 - Das Potentielle Album

For the 10 years anniversary, here and now the unforgettable 'Das Potentielle Album' with the fabulous Relle Büst (aka Parasyte Woman)! Relle and me found each other after I was performing my Street Poetry live. After my show she told me ones should throw tomatoes on me! Yes! 

We decided to collaborate and set my poetry to music. In her studio she began to play keyboard, me to sing. That's how this fresh album came out; I still like to hear it.

Thanks to Knarf Rellöm and DJ Pattex we started directly in the heaven of pop as opening act for Barbara Morgenstern in the Sue Ellen Bar in Zürich; sold out! We and the audience didn't know what to expect, but it began a great collaboration which floated amongst others to Kammerspiele, Harry Klein, Substanz, the Pratenrinsel,…and even on the Leopoldstraße in Munich. Our last gig until today was as part of the Long Love Night in the Villa Stuck Museum in 2008.

Thanks to Thomas Gilke who designed an amazing booklet and the great printing machines of Extrapool, we released our one and only CD in 2003.

Le Petit Pous-Pous made it on the sampler of the great Gutfeeling Label in Munich and was even part of the soundtrack of Hagen Keller's motion picture 'Meer Is Nich'.

Tales of the Past #20 - Unknown Indians

In 2001 I collected passport pictures of unknown Indians together with fabric leftovers in India and took them with me to Germany. In 2001/2002 I ironed passe-partouts for the unknown and gave them fictive characters. All together I created 150 different new personalities in the size of 18,5 x 18,5 cm and exhibited them just twice.

Das Deutschlandradio Kultur wird am 19.09.2013 um 15:07 Uhr ein Interview mit mir senden, bei dem ich nochmals verzweifelt versuchen werde das Warum verbal zu begreifen.

Und für alle die immer an uns geglaubt und es auch nicht fassen konnten, nun endlich:

Viele haben es gewußt, doch fast niemand gehört: den inoffiziellen Wiesnhit seit 2003.

10 Jahre danach bietet sich nun endlich diese aussergewöhnliche Chance, die verschwendeten Jahre der verzweifelten Suche nach dem Wiesnhit, Revue passieren zu lassen. 

A Radl Wurscht war immer da: neben dir, in dir, auf dir oder dort, wo deine Lieblinssorte auf dich wartet, warm eingepackt mitgenommen und gehäutet zu werden.

Tales of the Past #19 - The WIld Thing

Since 2001 I work with self portraits. The fictional characters are created, influenced by it's space and reflect my life situation in this specific moments. What I might have felt in this time of my life...I don't remember. Can it be that my animal nature of man was awoken by the Nature Museum of Freyung...?!

Tales of the Past #18- Wir sind Anal Stahl!

Right on time for the 10 years birthday party of the record store of the Gutfeeling label in Munich.
In 2004 I made this portrait of one of my favorite bands: Anal Stahl!
I will always remember when I saw them live for the first time: they played in a very, very small shop for hiking equipment. Every year the owner emptied his whole shop for a great party and bands to play:
it was very crowded, Anal Stahl played hard and rigid punk, the audience was jumping, some throwed cake on them, others were sitting on shelves under the ceiling throwing beer on us and we were sliding in a lake of beer. A perfect Punk event!
I ended up with a damaged hand...but who cares. My memory lives forever!

Tales of the Past #17- Johnny Amore Radio

In 2006/2007 I created the internetradio Johnny Amore Radio together with Sebastian Augustin. The program showed non stop 60 hours of music of one hour mixes, compiled by musicians, artists and music lovers from all over the world. It was our tribute to the beloved mix tapes.
The radio was on air for almost two years.

I also produced some jingles with Relle Büst. Please enjoy:

Tales of the Past #16 - Szenen eines geistigen Verfalls

This is the first manifestation and the reason of founding Johnny Amore, which ended in the self production and publication of this poem book in 2001 (29 pages/A5/150 pieces) .

As a result of some wondrous poems ( Street Poetry), which pop up not knowing how they seized hold of himself and to collect all creative energy apart from photography, Johnny was born in the name of love.  

(for the ones abroad who may not understand the lyrics: don't worry! Even native speaking people may have same feelings...)

Tales of the Past #15 - Stressportraits

In 2002  worked on this series where I set three people under stress: the had to stand in one point, holding the flower in one height while being surrounded by lights which created heat. Six loudspeakers (2 left, 2 right, 2 behind) were playing Atari Teenage Riot very loud, without bass, in max. level treble and in different speeds. In the end it was pure noise, almost unbearable.
Surpisingly they hold their positions for almost one hour. Afterwards they explained that they lost track in time while standing in.

We immediately became very good friends until today.

Tales of the Past #11- A Radl Wurscht geht immer!

2003 startete ich mit D.Brezina und Price Meat das Projekt Wiesnhit. 

Wiesnhits sind typisch und wichtig für das münchner Oktoberfest, damit die Besucher auf Biertischen und -bänken stehen, tanzen, grölen, wackeln,...können.

Das unglaubliche Potential an Hit wurde produziert, das Cover auf dem Großglockner geschossen und gelayoutet, das Mechandising entwickelt (und immer wieder Gilkistan), sowie erste Kontakte zur großen Musikbranche geknüpft. Tja...hat jemand das Lied jemals gehört?!?!?
